Solution:
I developed a regulatory compliance standard that established a consistent, scalable approach for tracking and responding to regulatory change. This included selecting and implementing IT systems to support legal change oversight, as well as embedding monitoring processes to ensure continuous compliance.

The client now has an integrated system that flags legal changes early, assesses their impact and ensures necessary actions are taken—backed by tech-enabled tracking and governance oversight. Legal risks are mitigated in real-time, with compliance confidence significantly strengthened across the business.
Challenge:
A corporate client experienced a fatality at one of its sites—triggering immediate regulatory scrutiny, legal obligations and significant reputational risk.
Solution:
I led the internal fact-finding investigation, responded to regulator notices to produce evidence and coordinated the company’s engagement with investigators. At the same time, I liaised with the family of the deceased to ensure compassionate communication and support, balancing legal, human and reputational considerations.
Impact:
The company navigated the crisis with integrity, transparency and minimal long-term damage. Regulatory obligations were met, relationships were managed with care and internal processes were strengthened to prevent future incidents.
Challenge:
A large global client faced a class action lawsuit alleging misleading and deceptive conduct relating to its future financial forecasts—posing significant reputational and financial exposure.
Solution:
I led the internal management of the litigation over a three-year period, coordinating document discovery, conducting key witness interviews, drafting witness statements and shaping legal strategy. I worked closely with a large team of external lawyers and senior counsel, while managing executive-level reporting and providing strategic recommendations to the Board throughout.

The litigation was successfully resolved through settlement, with recovery of legal costs from insurers. The company navigated a major legal threat with minimal business disruption, thanks to structured oversight, clear communication and sound litigation strategy.

A global corporate client required a smarter, more focused due diligence approach to ensure it could reliably identify integrity risks before entering into key relationships or transactions.
Solution:
I designed a bespoke due diligence framework, including targeted investigation areas and high-impact questions tailored to the client’s risk profile. This focused methodology enabled deeper insight into counterparties’ backgrounds, governance, reputational exposure and red flags.
Impact:
The client gained a sharper, more proactive risk lens—improving decision-making and reducing exposure to hidden integrity risks. The approach is now used as a best-practice model across key business units globally
Challenge:
A global corporate client lacked visibility over the use of agents across its worldwide operations—posing a significant bribery and corruption risk due to inconsistent oversight.
Solution:
I led a comprehensive review of the client’s global supplier base to identify all agent relationships. Based on the findings, I implemented enhanced onboarding and annual monitoring protocols—assessing each agent’s reputation, relationship history and payment patterns.
Impact:
Robust anti-corruption controls were embedded into procurement and supply chain processes. The client now has continuous due diligence and monitoring in place—significantly reducing bribery exposure and aligning with international compliance standards.
Challenge:
A global corporate client needed to improve how it managed third-party risks—particularly around agents, joint ventures, government-linked entities and politically exposed persons (PEPs) operating across high-risk jurisdictions.
Solution:
I designed and implemented a risk-weighted due diligence framework for third-party onboarding. This approach factored in jurisdictional risk, entity type, beneficial ownership and sanctions exposure—enabling the client to assess risk profiles accurately and apply tailored mitigation strategies.
Impact:
The client now has a structured, proactive system for assessing third-party integrity risks—allowing them to make informed engagement decisions, reduce exposure to corruption and sanctions risk and align with global best practices.
Challenge:
A corporate client faced serious bullying allegations against a senior leader. The sensitive nature of the complaints and the seniority of the accused made internal resolution challenging—especially as complainants were reluctant to come forward.
Solution:
I led a confidential investigation, engaging an independent external fact-finding investigator to conduct interviews and assess the credibility of the allegations. This approach provided the neutrality and trust required for a fair process. I also managed the reporting and strategic recommendations directly to the Board.
Impact:
The investigation offered clarity and credibility, allowing the Board to act decisively. Trust in the process was maintained, employee concerns were heard and the organization demonstrated a serious, accountable approach to workplace integrity.
Challenge:
Following the introduction of new Australian whistleblower legislation—with significant penalties for non-compliance—an Australian corporate client needed to act fast to meet regulatory obligations and protect its executive leadership.
Solution:
I implemented a comprehensive whistleblower reporting process, developed clear procedures and delivered targeted training across the organization to ensure all requirements were met swiftly and effectively.
Impact:
The business now has a compliant, confidential and well-structured approach to managing whistleblower disclosures—minimizing legal risk for directors and executives while reinforcing a culture of transparency and accountability
Challenge:
In one department of a large corporate client, multiple complaints were raised by different individuals—suggesting deeper cultural or leadership issues beneath the surface.
Solution:
Rather than treating each complaint in isolation, I conducted a holistic departmental review, including confidential interviews with the entire team to identify systemic issues driving the concerns.
Impact:
The review revealed a clear leadership dysfunction at the root of many complaints. By addressing it strategically, we resolved the broader tension and significantly reduced the volume and severity of issues—turning a reactive complaints process into a proactive culture correction.
Challenge:
A not-for-profit organization secured a major government contract and needed to rapidly scale operations—while ensuring their data practices met strict government privacy standards.
Solution:
I conducted a comprehensive Privacy Impact Assessment to map current data handling practices and assess risks against regulatory benchmarks.
Impact:
We identified key compliance gaps and immediately implemented improvements that not only reduced risk but also elevated the organization’s privacy maturity. The client retained government trust, avoided exposure and scaled with confidence—knowing their information systems could stand up to scrutiny.
Challenge:
A large multinational organization operated without a unified compliance framework—leaving it exposed to serious integrity risks across bribery, fraud, sanctions, privacy and human rights.
Solution:
I conducted a group-wide risk review, designed a centralized compliance strategy and established a dedicated function to focus on the most critical risks. The framework included mitigation actions, site-level implementation and clear reporting lines to both executive leadership and the Board.
Impact:
For the first time, the company had transparency and control over its integrity risk profile. Adequate procedures were implemented and monitored across all regions and functions—ensuring legal and reputational risks were managed proactively, not reactively.
Challenge:
Leaders were unaware of simmering behavioral risks due to fragmented reporting and a lack of trend visibility across departments.
Solution:
I introduced integrated misconduct analytics, helping executives spot patterns, not just incidents. Regular reporting to leadership highlighted emerging cultural red flags.
Impact:
Silent risks became visible. Leadership gained a clear line of sight on conduct trends—strengthening trust, governance and future-proofing integrity systems.
